Who’s Afraid of Christmas? – Pastor Craig Pitts

Matthew 2:1-3
King Herod was afraid – Who occupies the throne of my heart?  Jesus is the only true King!
All Jerusalem – Who can bring true liberty to my heart?  Jesus delivers the enslaved heart!
Satan – Satan has a terminal head injury.  Jesus is Almighty God!
The Shepherds – Luke 2:8-9 – Fear turns to joy when we believe the Good News.  Jesus is “Saviour, Christ the Lord!”

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;  I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Beyond the Comfort Zone – Pastor Phil Macarthur

Matthew 28:18-20
In the Bible we read of different people who were asked to get outside their comfort zones – Abraham to leave Er and family (Genesis 12), Noah builds an ark (Genesis 6-8), Joshua & the battle of Jericho (Joshua 6), Gideon’s army (Judges 6-8), David fights Goliath (1 Samuel 17).  Pastor Phil’s viewpoint is that Matthew 10 is the most uncomfortable chapter of the Bible.  The disciples were asked to rely upon God 100%.  What about us?
